How the BollySitara Competition Will Unfold
Online Audition Submission
Contestants must register and submit a high-quality audition video through the official Bollysitara website. Videos must be in Hindi and no longer than 3 minutes. Auditions will be reviewed by our panel of judges, Mahalakshmi Iyer and Shriram Iyer, based on vocal ability, expression, and performance quality.
Live Virtual Rounds
Top 100 contestants from the audition stage will advance to live virtual rounds, where they will perform in real time via video conference in front of the judges. Contestants will receive feedback and scores to determine if they move to the next stage.
Grand Finale
The top 20 contestants from the live virtual rounds will advance to the grand finale. This event will feature live virtual performances in front of an audience and judges. Contestants will be scored on vocal technique, creativity, stage presence, and overall impact.
Prizes
1st place: An opportunity to collaborate with Shriram Iyer to record an original song, have it professionally produced and released on streaming platforms
2nd place: Get a fully produced cover song recorded and released with professional audio mastering.
3rd place: Personalized vocal coaching sessions with Shriram Iyer, where you’ll receive singing tips and career advice.

How the BollySitara Competition Will Unfold
Online Audition Submission

Criteria to Enter the BollySitara Competition
Contestants must be legal residents of the US, UK or Canada and at least 18 years of age by the time of entry. Proof of age and residency will be required during the selection process
Submit your audition entry through the official BollySitara website before March 31st, 2025. Each contestant is allowed one entry only, so make it count! Your submission should include a high-quality video of your singing performance, showcasing your vocal talent and stage presence.
Audition performances must be in the Hindi language only, reflecting the rich tradition of Bollywood and South Asian music. Accompanying instruments or karaoke tracks are permitted, but the focus must remain on your vocal ability and interpretation of the song.
The audition video must not exceed 3 minutes in length. Performances longer than the specified time may result in disqualification. Ensure your song choice highlights your best vocals within the time limit.
A non-refundable entry fee must be paid at the time of registration. This fee covers the processing of your audition and entry into the competition. Payment details are available on the official BollySitara website.
Entries will be evaluated by our legendary judges, Mahalakshmi Iyer and Shriram Iyer, based on vocal technique, expression, creativity, and stage presence. Initial selections will be made from the online entries, and shortlisted contestants will move on to live or virtual rounds.

- Contestants must agree to all terms and conditions outlined on the BollySitara website.
- By entering, contestants consent to the use of their performance videos for promotional purposes.
- The judges’ decision at all stages of the competition will be final and binding. No appeals or disputes will be entertained.
