Terms of Service Agreement

This Terms of Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legally binding document between you (“Contestant”) and Bollysitara (“Organizers”). By registering for the Bollysitara competition, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Failure to comply with these terms may result in disqualification from the competition.

1. Eligibility
   • Contestants must be legal residents of the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada and at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.
   • Proof of residency and age may be required at any stage of the competition  through government-issued photo identification and proof of address dated within the last 3 months
   • Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any Contestant for providing false information or for non-compliance with these terms.
     
2. Registration and Entry Fee
   • Contestants must complete the registration process on https://www.bollysitara.com and submit their main audition video by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on March 31, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
   • A non-refundable entry fee is required at the time of registration and must be paid via credit card, debit card, or other payment methods specified on the registration website.
   • Only one entry per Contestant is allowed. Duplicate entries will result in disqualification without a refund.

3. Audition Video Requirements
   
   1. Audition videos must:
      • Be no longer than 3 minutes in duration.
      • Feature a Bollywood film song in the Hindi language.
      • Be of high audio and visual quality to enable fair evaluation, with minimum resolution of 720p HD (1280×720 pixels), clear audio without background noise, and proper lighting. Videos must be submitted in MP4 or MOV format with a maximum file size of 1GB.
   2. Videos that do not meet these requirements may be rejected at the sole discretion of the Organizers.

4. Competition Rounds
   
   1. The competition consists of the following stages:
      • Online Auditions: Contestants submit video audition(s) via the website.
      • Live Virtual Rounds: Selected Contestants perform live via video conference for the judges. Contestants must have a stable internet connection with minimum speed of 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload and use the competition’s designated video conferencing platform.
        • Live virtual rounds will be judged solely by Shriram Iyer
      • Grand Finale: The top 20 Contestants from the live virtual rounds will compete in a virtual grand finale for the top 3 spots which will be awarded prizes
        • Grand finale will be judged by both Mahalakshmi Iyer and Shriram Iyer

5. Judging and Prizes
   
   1. Judging decisions will be made by a panel of qualified judges selected by the Organizers in their sole discretion. Performances will be evaluated based on the following criteria: (a) vocal ability and technique; (b) stage presence and performance skills; (c) creativity and artistic interpretation; and (d) overall performance quality and entertainment value.
   2. The judges’ decisions are final and binding, and no appeals or disputes will be entertained.
   3. Prizes will be awarded as follows:
      1. 1st place: An opportunity to collaborate with Shriram Iyer to record an original song, have it professionally produced and released on streaming platforms
      2. 2nd place: Get a fully produced cover song recorded and released with professional audio mastering.
      3. 3rd place: Personalized vocal coaching sessions with Shriram Iyer, where you’ll receive singing tips and career advice.
   4. Prizes are non-transferable and will be disbursed within 60 days after all required documentation (including but not limited to tax forms, proof of identity, and eligibility verification) is provided by the winners. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable taxes on prizes. Failure to provide required documentation within 30 days of request may result in forfeiture of the prize.

6. Consent and Release
   
   1. By entering the competition, Contestants grant the Organizers a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, create derivative works from, and otherwise exploit their audition videos, live performances, name, likeness, voice, and related materials for promotional, marketing, advertising, and other commercial purposes in any medium now known or hereafter developed, without additional compensation or prior notice.
   2. Contestants agree to participate in reasonable promotional activities, interviews, or other events as requested by the Organizers with at least 72 hours advance notice, provided such activities do not conflict with the Contestant’s pre-existing professional or academic commitments.

7. Liability and Indemnification
   
   1. The Organizers are not responsible for:
      1. Technical issues preventing the submission or evaluation of audition videos.
      2. Travel delays, cancellations, or other issues arising from Contestants’ travel arrangements.
      3. Injuries, losses, or damages incurred during participation in the competition.
   2. Contestants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizers, judges, sponsors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of their participation in the competition, except to the extent caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Organizers or their representatives.

8. Disqualification
   
   1. The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any Contestant for:
      1. Violation of this Agreement or competition rules.
      2. Misrepresentation, fraud, or misconduct.
      3. Failure to comply with instructions provided by the Organizers or judges.
         
9. General Provisions
   • This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, USA without regard to its conflict of law principles.
   • Any disputes arising out of this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Georgia, USA
   • The Organizers reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Any material changes will be communicated to Contestants via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Updated terms will be posted on the Bollysitara website. Contestants’ continued participation in the competition following such notice constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

By completing the registration process and submitting an audition video, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
